New Century Grant Recipients for 2006

Grant helps Albert F. Totman Public Library with an expansion.

The Maine Library Commission announces recipients of the 2006 New Century Construction/Renovation Grants for public libraries. With $350,000 available, the Commission received applications totaling over $600,000 in construction/renovation needs from 23 libraries. The Commission regrets that many needy, deserving projects remain unfunded.

The following libraries received grants:

  1. Albert F. Totman Public Library (Phippsburg) - Exterior photo included. Grant will fund a building expansion for a meeting room.
  2. Belfast Free Library
  3. Calais Free Library
  4. Cary Library (Houlton)
  5. D.A. Hurd Library (North Berwick)
  6. Davis Memorial Library (Limington)
  7. Gardiner Public Library
  8. Henry D. Moore Parish House and Library ( Steuben)
  9. Julia Adams Morse Memorial Library (Greene)
  10. Pittsfield Public Library
  11. Vinalhaven Public Library
  12. Wiscasset Public Library
