Monday through Thursday 9 am to 8 pm Friday and Saturday 9 am to 5 pm (Sats. in July and August 9-12)

Description:

Youth Services: Weekly programs for infants, toddlers, and pre-schoolers.
Monthly drama group, intergenerational book discussion, and film discussion group for middle school and high school students, and knitting mentoring program for children during the school year. Summer Reading Program for all ages.

Adult Services: Monthly concerts, programs, book discussions, and computer workshops. The library also collaborates with other Augusta libraries to sponsor A Capital Read, a community reading event, each March.

Built in 1896, Lithgow Public Library is an active community center in the heart of Maine's Capital City. The library features programming for children, teens, and adults. Its diverse collection provides informational and recreational reading for all. The collection also includes movies on dvd and vhs, books on tape and cd, music cassettes and cds, magazines, and large print books. Items not available at Lithgow Library can be interlibrary loaned through our on-line shared catalog.
